The master's program in health information technology delivers professionals who understand the unique relationship between information technology, people, health and the health care system.

Delivered through a unique partnership between the university's integrated information technology and health services policy and management departments, the Master in Health Information Technology blends an information technology foundation with coursework covering current clinical trends, government regulations and health care specific management practices.

Through special arrangement, the university offers dual degree programs in certain areas to permit a student to work on two degrees concurrently by combining credits, resulting in the student taking fewer courses than the total required if each degree were pursued independently.
This program, offered by the College of Hospitality Retail and Sport Management and the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, culminates in a Master of Health Information Technology and a Doctor of Pharmacy.
