Why Study Business Analytics
Despite substantial increases in the ability to capture and store data, many businesses continue to make their decisions based on historical preferences and outdated models. This often happens because companies have an abundance of data but lack the ability to turn that data into useful knowledge. To turn data into knowledge, organizations need managers and leaders who combine solid business and communication skills with an analytics mindset.
The Business Analytics Graduate Certificate is a STEM-designated program that trains students to be the data-savvy managers that today’s marketplace demands by teaching students to apply science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills to business applications. These skills allow students to help companies optimize their performance by reducing risks and making data-driven decisions that ultimately lead to greater success.
