Society shapes nearly every aspect of our lives. Sociology gives you the theory and tools to understand society’s impact on individual and group behavior and the confidence to make your impact on society. 

Our summer minor helps you strengthen skills in research, analytical thinking and communication, skills that will serve you well in careers like marketing, social work, law, insurance, education and more. Beginning in 2023, the minor is available as a nine-week, summer minor, all online. 

How to get your sociology minor in one summer 

Just sign up for the following courses available in Summer 2023. If you have already taken any of these courses, you can still take the others — and perhaps use that time to take another course.
